Policy Statement
It is our intention to make our preschool accessible to children and families from all of the sections of the local community. We aim to ensure that all sections of the community have access to our preschool through open, fair and clearly communicated procedures.
Strategies
We ensure the existence of the preschool is widely advertised in places accessible to all sections of the community.
All information about the preschool is widely advertised in places accessible to all sections of the community.
All information can be in written and spoken form, and using different languages if appropriate. If possible to do so we will also try and provide information in Braille.
Our waiting list is arranged in birth order, taking into account any siblings that have attended our preschool and the vicinity of the home to the preschool.
We aim to accommodate an emergency admission.
We are an inclusive preschool, regardless of their gender, sen, disabilities, background, religion, ethnicity or competence of spoken English.
We enable children with disabilities to take part in all aspects of preschool life.
Monitoring of gender and ethnic background is carried out to ensure no accidental discrimination takes place
Our Equal Opportunities policy is made available for public viewing.
Our opening and closing times are decided with the assistance of our current families.
Flexibility is used to accommodate the needs of individual children and families.
This policy was adopted at a meeting of Rainbows Preschool.
