About Us
Rainbows Pre-school was founded in 1964 formerly known as Fairfield Nursery, it moved premises in 1971 and was renamed as Rainbows in 1988. Jacqui & Lynn took over Rainbows in 1999 and are now the pre-school managers & owners.
Jacqui and Lynn both hold a Diploma in Pre-school Practice level 3 and First Aid certificates. Jacqui is the pre-schools named Safeguarding officer whilst Lynn is the named Behaviour management coordinator. They both also have Level 3 Award in Leadership and Management.

Avril Fitzpatrick – Pre-School Practitioner
Avril joined our team in 2008, she holds an NVQ level 3 in childcare.

Sarah Guy – Senco
Sarah joined us in 2009 and holds a Diploma in Children & Young Peoples workforce level 3.

Debbie Schools – Pre-School Practitioner
Debbie joined us in September 2014. She is an early years infant school teacher, eager to learn about pre-schoolers.

Michelle Grierson – Pre-School Practitioner
Was until recently one of our parents at Rainbows. She now holdsa level 3 in childcare and joined us in June 2015. Michelle is our Health and Safety Officer.

Sarah Carline – Pre-School Practitioner
Has just achieved Level 3 in Childcare. Sarah joined us October 2015. Sarah is currently studying her Level 2 in Autism Awareness.

Ashley Cox – Pre-School Practitioner
Ashley has just joined the Rainbows Team, and is just completing her Level 3 in Childcare.

Sam Eades – Pre-School Practitioner
Sam is currently studying for her level 3 in Childcare.

Jen Dugdale – Pre-School Practitioner
Jen is our SEN 1-to-1 practitioner and has been with us since January 2020.

Laura Ralph – Pre-School Practitioner
Laura takes care of our snack bar area.
We are known to the children as ‘aunties’. With the exception of Chloe we are all mums, who have had children attend Rainbows. All of us are First Aid providers and hold at least a Level 3 in Safeguarding. All have had DBS checks. We are constantly updating our training needs as appropriate.
