Dear Parents

We hope you have all enjoyed the recent weather and are now looking forward to the spring sunshine!

We hope you have now had a chance to read your child’s learning summary and talk to your keyperson about your child’s progress but can we please remind you to leave a comment on the summary. Please don’t worry if you haven’t managed to have a chat, your keyperson will be contacting you very soon.

Our Government Grant funding has not had any increase this financial year. However, they have increased the limits for the National Living Wage and contributions necessary for Pensions.  We are required by law to pay both of these as well as paying holiday pay to all our staff. Therefore, it is necessary for us to increase our fees. In the  summer term the new charge will be £6 per hour. £18 per session. Our termly fees for those of you with us in September will be £10 per term. £30 per annum.

We are aware that some of you have not yet paid your last invoice. Please come and speak to Jacqui or Lynn if you have problems paying. We can offer a payment plan if necessary.

We hope you keep an eye on our noticeboard in the hallway. You will have noticed that the Carnival application form is there.  We need a group of parents to organise it during their free time. We need a float, hay bales and lots of props, handmade by yourselves. It is a hard task, so a couple of parents to co-ordinate everything works well, with all other parents making props, decorating the float and dismantling it. Please speak to one of us as soon as possible if you think you would like to help in anyway.

We have organised Firsttouch Football to come and carry out football sessions with the children. A full list of dates will be at the bottom of this letter. All we ask is if your child is due to start school in September, you provide a labelled shorts and t-shirt and plimsolls/trainers in their bag for them to change into. Although the football is great fun, our emphasis is on the undressing and dressing. Younger children will participate but not change their clothes.

We have also arranged Miss Sue, a local dance teacher, to come in and carry out some dance sessions with us. Dates are also at the bottom of this letter.

Some of you may remember we held a fundraising evening before our move to the new hall. We had live music and a fantastic raffle and raised nearly a £1000. We would like to organise another evening in June/July. Look out for the date on the noticeboard. This time we would like to raise funds to enhance our outside area, with shade/shelter, role play areas, creative places and lots of other activities. If anybody is good at rallying local companies to donate raffle prizes, please mention it to Lynn or Jacqui.

If your child will be with us in September, you will be receiving a letter requesting the sessions you would like. We realise it is some time yet, but we are so busy and we need to start organising everyone ready for the new intake.

Please speak to Jacqui or Lynn, in person preferably, but by email or text if it is easier, if you have any concerns at all.

A reminder that we break up for Easter on Friday 5th April and return on  Tuesday April 23rd.

Thank you for your continued support.

Many thanks

Jacqui, Lynn and team
